first provided role models to author Mary Lagneau's young children. The Lagneau family looked to the saints for comfort and inspiration during times of illness.
Talking about the saints on car rides, asking the saints to intercede for the sick, and thanking Jesus for raising up saints as guides to heaven brought the saints closer to the family's heart.
Finding support for chronic illnesses provided the family an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus. The patron saints' unwavering faith offer both children and adults role models of Christ's love.
